La Boule du Désert Pétanque was founded in 2003 by Pascal Corchia, and a small group of people who, for the sheer love of the game, strove to create the courts in Palm Desert to better share the sport and to expose others to a popular French tradition. Their enthusiasm for a good time, and the participation of many terrific players over the years brought us to what we have today. Whether you are a seasoned player or are interested in learning the game, please join us and experience the challenging and fun adventure that is pétanque. We play every Sunday beginning around 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., also on Wednesdays, and sometimes into the evening depending on the season and participant interest.
La Boule du Désert plays at the Palm Desert Hovely Soccer Park, 74735 Hovley Lane East, Palm Desert, CA 92260
Parking is available in lots to the north and south of the soccer park. From I-10, take the Cook Street exit, head south on Cook and turn righ at 42nd Avenue. Go to the end of 42nd Ave. and park in the lot. The pétanque field is next to the basketball court.
